An Abelard student gets to do chemistry research in a U of T lab

Remi Free, one of our grade 11 students, is currently completing an internship at an Inorganic Chemistry Lab at the University of Toronto and being mentored by a PhD student. She assists PhD students around the lab as well as undertaking some of her own original research. Her research involves manipulating a tellurium-boron compound that was first created by her mentor. She works at the lab for several hours at a time three days a week after school. Remi absolutely loves her experience as a researcher and is considering majoring in chemistry in university.
